126" almost ready
Its the middle of winter here and I will be getting my engine soon.
Im piecing together a EFI kit for it and wondering if I can break it in on the dyno?
Does anyone have a procedure they use for this?
Ive read about heat cycling the engine before break in/tuning, but all these articles talk about riding the bike.. That wont be an option for me I dont think since my tune will just be whatever the DTT system comes with... ?
Id like to get a few guys thoughts on dyno break in that have done it before with a performance engine.

Why not bolt it into the frame heat cycle it there, then break it in riding it have done all of mine that way.You will be some anxious by warm weather to twist the throttle on that pump.
You guys have any snow yet,so far in So Maine all we have is dustings.

Literally 2 ft of snow already.
I'm converting to efi using at DTT module, where would I find a map that could run the bike good enough to ride it?
I want to try get it tuned and broken in on the Dyno over the winter so it's ready come spring time.

I could never get the dtt tcfi3 to work for me. You have a bunch of cash invested already, I'd go the extra mile to outfit with the Harley tuner or possibly the s&s setup. I switched to a race tuner and have never been happier.

Which Harley tuner exactly?
Dan Thayer is making me a wiring harness for this, and he recommends using the DTT. I know sweet nothing about EFI on a harley, so I dont know which way to go??
I want something that is fairly easy to tune and will work good.
Am I wrong to assume, the wiring harness should be the same whether I use a Harley, SnS, DTT ECM?? All the connectors should be the same??

Weatherman is threatning big storm next week we will see.
Only experience I have with electronic ign is with S&S IST on the S&S 124" powered bike and with the ignition that came with R&R 155" powered bike. Both have been flawless in operation.
Almost certain you will hear from someone on best route to take.Would think Star Racing could guide you as well as S&S.Good Luck either way.Don't forget us this spring on riding experience.

Had the dtt tcfi2 on the 98" and finally got it to work ok but never in a million years would I use it on the future 120" build.Plan to build it this winter and haul the bike to Dave at JD cycles. Will let him do the heat cycles and then dyno tune using the TTS.That is one nice motor, get the TTS and let someone tune it the proper way.

I see that you have removed the heads. And you are reduceing the chamber size? If so what comp are you aiming for? How much did you remove off the heads? Are you useing the S&S .640 cam? Ok enough questions...

I took 20 thou off the heads to give me 10.8:1. 640 cam, 1.75 intake rockers and the heads have been ported aswell.
Aiming to hit the 160s.
Going with a 62mm HPI TB as they are not sure if the 70mm will be ready for spring and I want to be on the road ASAP.
What other stand alone fuel management systems are there available? Since my bike was carbed, I have no ECM. I need something that can run everything alone like the DTT.
