131 rippn rotors part

help just done me second one. both hd ones the first just looked like a washer with spine , and herd a clunck today, last stop flat battery. just pulled off and rotor loose , can push from side to side so its toast too. can i get a better one?

Does it look like this?
I have bought a heavy duty one that has a reinforced center it´s 0.5" thick in the center. Check your play on the transmission chain so you have the right play on the tightest spot. If the chain are to tight it can cause this problem.

yeap that's what its done again. have fitted hd se adjuster (automatic primary chain tensioner) as was braking the back off the adjuster shoe before, this seems to make the chain tight.
do you know who makes a heavy duty one for 02 dyna?

just rang the dealer, they say over reving does it, and the boss (my old old) has been through a few too! they fitted a heavy duty one and all good .now where do i find one????

Thanks, i see that the part numbers are the same, but they are 32amp are twin cams 38amp? or would that still work.

It works.
The 38 amp came first 2001 (on softails) with the 3 phase stator and then the rotor are wider . I have checked that a 2002 Dyna has this 32 amp rotor.

I'm new but I figured I would jump in here and provide a solution we have used quite successfully in the shop numerous times on high hp bikes. Get a used sprocket shaft to center everything up and you can weld the sprocket shaft extension directly to the rotor. You will never have another problem. It must be welded in small steps though so as to not create to much heat and warp the rotor
