is putting a big bore kit on tc 88 worth it?

how much horse power will you gain by putting a 95 to 98 ci kit on an 88 tc ? with everything being equal , tuned 88 , forcewinder air cleaner , carbed tuned , 2 inti 1 pipe , gear drive cams .
ps i ride very hard , shifting at redline . 90 to 110mph for hours

Pretty mild 95" build, very reliable, good fuel mileage, runs on average grade fuel.

When I went from 88 to 95, I also got headwork done. Not sure which had more of an impact, but the combo really seemed to make a big difference. Stage 1, gear cams not so much...

Nice flat torque curve. What cams and compression?

Hillside head porting, 9.8 compression, Wood TW6 cam. Scott told me that an Andrews 37 would be pretty close to the TW6 and is less expensive.

Impressive results from such a mild 95". I'd say you answered the OP's question...

My thought is that if you ride for hours at 90 to 110 you should get a bike more suited for that kind of riding, like a Kaw Concours or a Yamaha FJR. That kind of riding will limit the life of any Harley, no matter what upgrades are done.

my question still remains unanswered , how much power is gained by just big bore kit not head work and cams .

are you running compression releases ? i had to put an all balls starter and a zen starter drive gear and 450 cca lithium battery on my evo to get it to start but its 11 1/2 to 1

Increasing displacement from 88" to 95" will net about 10HP/12TQ; stock heads and cams; Stage I exhaust and air filter. At a DIY cost of about $350, it's the best bang for the buck in performance upgrades on a $$/HP-TQ basis. YMMV.

Leaving what you have and just punching it and re-tuning, the results won't be huge. Even with good headwork and well matched cams, your stock carb would probably be holding it back.

Whoa!! At least that makes the decision to rebuild or replace a little easier.
