27,000 miles on my 120R.

Those narrow band sensors make for a lot less carbon build up. Impressive shape Jim.

Curious. What is the relationship to carbon and the type of sensor?

Looks good. Nice to see there seems to be some good mileage to be gotten from these motors.

Just popped the heads off mine at 15K and sent them to Dewey's for guides, springs, port clean up and a bump up in cr. So far everything looks good also. And of course some fretting on the compensator. Don't know whether to clean it up and reinstall since it wasn't making any noise etc....

At 15k yours shows guide wear and oil passing on the exhaust stems. The exhaust valves will not return to the seat unless they are not turned. Last 1/2" of the guide has baked carbon and valves show same. Not good and the exhausts were headed for seizing and pulling the guide, same as the 07 CVO heads do. Yours will be fixed with AV&V bronze manganese guides, .0014 in .0016" clearance ex and high quality viton seals. Clearances now are .0019-.0024"

Ouch, maybe not so good. Don, any obvious reason(s) for those problems? Thanks.

Well for one the seals are just OK at best on a stock motor.
I am absolutely amazed that HD after the issues they had with the 110 early on would revert back to the early seal when they have a very high quality part they use on the current 110 program heads and the latest stock 110 CVO motors. They are spendy but these are expensive heads, come on guys???

At one time I was considering a "Blueprint" of the MVA head well now after confirming my worries coming true all will get new guides as do all the heads that I process here.
These exhaust valves were not rotating at all and there was the beginning of a trough on top of the stem

As far as Jims
Looks good! Proof positive and even forensically the piston and ring package works well. I know you had Larry replace your guides so no issues there.

Looking good your right, by the looks of things in the pictures that motor did not have to be torn down. Also shows you never beat on it too hard before motor was warmed up.
Now that it is down what are your plans?

Yeah, why the hell did you pull it apart? inquiring minds want to know, if you only wanted to look at it you could have used a bore scope, tell us what you are up to.
