TW222 cams -impression
Hi,
Had my indy pull the SE255 cams out that I have had in the bike since taking it home new from dealer. Had 10,000 miles on them, and some Ping issues.
After reading on the forums about the TW222 cam, i figured that I could enjoy a better torque curve and some more horses.
Without benefit of being able to ride a couple hundred miles on the new cams, i have to say WOW!. Significant seat of pants feel for the torque which is great, and it definitely gets with the program with a nudge of throttle.
Cant wait until a break in the now not so hot, snowy weather allows for a ride....probably going to be March for that, to further enjoy the cams.
Cheers,
Mark

That cam will likely take the place of the TW5 which has always worked well for me. They are very similar on paper.

I can feel them start to pull around the 1700-1800 range not that I drive there but I'm doing a lot less downshifting.

Would you feel much improvement over the SE203 in a 95ci ST with ported heads and 80 cc chambers?

tw-222 cams are majical
We have been having such great results using these cams..
Makes bike effortless to move... the low end torque is definately there and is straight up effortless... Awseome cams--- the cool thing about these cams is they are producing big torque right off idle... that's what makes them majical--Timing is perfect!!!

With a 34* intake closing, my guess would be you should be feeling it around 2000 rpm.

In a 95" that's had the heads done (I'm assuming the lift was increased), I'd be looking at the Andrews 48 cams. Bolt in replacement cams for '99-'06 twin cam motors with very similar spec's. The 48's would also come on faster than the TW222's.
Andrews Parts Catalog.
