How much compression can it take?
I have a stock S&S 124 Twin Cam with the IST ignition and I really miss the commanding exhaust sound of some of my previous bikes that had super high compression and ran on fuel.
My question is, how hi can the compression be increased on these motors with the IST without any detonation issues or having to run racing fuel?
Additionally, would the IST basically adjust itself somehow to artificially lower the compresion so it wont detonate, and by doing so nullify the compression increase.
Lastly, would a Daytona Twin Tech ignition be better suited for taking advantage of a compression increase.
