These are as cast and they are not bad for a casting item. I have another SS 124 going together, and if time allows maybe I can test the two 66 mm back to back same bike one cleaned up vs as cast.

66mm Isn't that pretty large for a 124?

No, if we were talking carbs, yes it would be too large IMO but with EFI, its not too large. As a matter of fact, this throttle body was designed to be used on S&S's T124" with their Super Stock heads with 1.8" intake runners and 2" intake valves. They offer an upgrade to their B2 heads and they suggest the 70mm throttle body for that application.

Really, Who makes a 70mm TB for throttle cable? Largest I can find is a 62mm..
Would like to get that big monster for my 126 with B2 heads.

Hello Merc,
I called HPI regarding a custom tb and got no return call. Two calls in now. They were supposedly coming out with a 74mm, perhaps not...

GEEZ guys are these all RACE bikes? If your gonna tour on these bikes, Those TB's are crazy BIG! I meen every little bump in the road that you hit will cause your hand to open the throttle blade and is vertuely unstreetable.

I run a 62mm and its not the case. Big T/b's do NEED an experianced tuner and proper sized injectors. The twitchyness you get used to a bit too.

HPI just returned my email and said they will have a 70mm TB with throttle cable in the spring. They said to check their site for when it's released.
Would a 70mm be to big for a 160ish HP 126 with B2 heads?

Merc, there are some guys out there that could fabricate you a manifold for any throttle body you wish, in any size, if yOu don't want to wait.

Im seriously thinking about putting one of these 124 in my RG. How does it act in a parking lot doing slow speeds working the friction zone. I love having the power of the 124. How is it in slow precision riding.
