Tw6

Is there any other cam that can give you that Great TQ, and more HP in a 95" build, at 9.5:1.Thinking of going to an s&s 585.93hp/112tq. Do I need more compression for that cam? Have a 4* gear with my tw6.Don't get me wrong,I love the tq of that cam, just want alittle more up top.

If you are only getting 93 HP with a TW6, you're leaving some on the table.

I don't know anything about your engine, heads, etc but I get 100/100 STD using a TW6 in my 95" and I tuned it myself. Seat of the pants tuning with a SERT. I've seen where others have gotten more than with professional tuning.

Easy
Take the key out, raise the compression to 10:1 and add 1.7 SE rockers. Assuming the heads are a little more than a buff and fluff and are working right you will be amazed how much better it runs.

I know this might be a hard question to answer, but can I get to 10.1 by decking my heads with flat top pistons?

Same answer Easy
Mill to 77cc, mill the intakes too so the manifold still fits, use a .030 head gasket and check piston to valve clearance, fix if needed.

Ok, stay with me cause I don't know to much about this. How much would have to be taking off the heads to get 77cc ?

Somewhere between .055 and .085 would depend on where they start at.
So the answer,
It depends

Hillside ported the heads and bored the cylinders. The heads have aftermarket valves, don't remember what size they used. I bought the other parts from them, TW6, gear drive kit, Wiseco pistons, rings, S&S pushrods. They set it up at 10.2 compression with 10.5 pistons and a large combustion chamber. Scott assured me that it would be fine at 10.2 but I dropped it to 9.8 for a little insurance. D&D FatCat quiet baffle, stock lifters (bought a new set @ time of build), stock rockers and stock oil pump.

BTW, I tuned it so I could run lower grade gas in case I was out in the boonies and couldn't get the good stuff. I'm sure a good tuner could tweak several more ponies out of it, especially if the tune was optimized for good premium fuel.
