I want to order parts Monday!

117 or 124??? The heads are a done deal, I have Feuling 630 and S&S 640G's, i need to finalize the pistons( along with the chamber work if needed) so I can order the flywheels...which could go either way 117 or 124

I just got a 124" in the way from S&S in crate motor form. They're welding and balancing the crank before assembly. Are you going to run the Hurricane heads on this setup? I say from past experience, go as big as you can afford and be done with it except for maybe the occasional re ringing that may come with the longer stroke.

Consider the whole assembly rather than item by item. Things such as the motor balance. The piston weight is integral to a smooth running motor and many times this is overlooked. I like to get my 117" pistons at or below 500gr gross then have the assembly balanced to a factor I specify.
My point is about integration of all these parts and I just illustrate one example, there are lots more.
If you order a 124" S&S kit they did the homework.
Any time you want a "counterpoint" on 20° pistons feel free to call either Randy Torgeson or Bobby Woods. FYI they are heavy especially on top.
You can make very high power with a compact chamber and a flat top piston. If you bagged the other heads and are using Hurricane they have a large chamber to begin with. Get the geometry fixed and they can get bigger. It may take a serious milling cut to get to where you need to be to make that 640 work right ~85cc
Hell even a crate 124 with a set of milled heads will make 140 square.
