Dual runner throttle body

Here goes my first post since joining a little bit ago. I have a Gerolamy Dual runner Tb that i bought one year ago its on my 04 dyna that is 88" but not for long. It seems to work pretty well now The motor has MCR heads and a S&S 510 with a propipe and Tmax with autotune if anything its a little on the big side now. Iam almost done with a 113 with mva heads and 10.5 pistons. My queston is anybody using one besides for me or can a member give the pros and cons of running this set up verses the tried and true single runner Tb. Thank you aubeagle

Gerolamy dual flow TB

I always have had to make my things a little unique from The Jones next door or done the street. Thats another reason for running it. My 04 FXDLI is still a 88' motor with S&S 510 and mcr se heads Propipe the big zippers air filter and of course the Dual runner tb Tmax auto tune. Also a chain converison and a final drive of 3.06 Now my buddy that i ride with has a 04 FXDWG with a 95' inch motor with 10.5 se pistons and mcr heads, Same propipe as mine 570 S&S Geardrive Tmax w/autotune that Zippers tuned. When we line em up whoever gets the jump is the one that stays out front. It seems to me that he could really benifit from some headwork as both sets are out of the box nothing done. Am i on the right track with that?

The only "dual runner Throttle Body" that I am aware of is the older Magnetti Marelli systems. An '04 is Delphi. Therefore I suspect you are talking about the Air Cleaner and not the Throttle Body. As far as your question, there are some who run dual runner air cleaners but they are not that common that I've seen. Doesn't mean they are bad however. I have considered the current S&S product but it's quite expensive and I am not convinced it offers any improvement in flow. It's cool looking though.

Hello, I bought it from Gerolamy's websit. They make em for the different sized intake ports (twincam) and i think they will also do for the taller aftermarket cylinders. It uses all the factory sensors Tps, map ect. 50mm in size.

Back before my 124" disintegrated, I too was looking at the Gerolamy and S&S Dual TB.

Seems like most people sided against the Dual TB but I never had the opportunity to experiment with either.

I remember forking out quite a bit of cash for a new DTT TCFI IID that nobody could tune either...

That thing is still sitting in the bottom of my tool chest.

The throttle shaft broke in the factory Tb and the dealer said they couldnt get just that part (?) So i went to the Indy that did the head and cam upgrade, He wanted a $150.00 for one he took off a customers bike and it was stripped of a sensors, They had a milk crate full of them!!!! Since i was going to do 113 SE build i bought the Gerolamy dual runner 50mm. Its been on the 88 incher since Now the 113 SE motor is almost done i just hope it will work for me. The MVA heads are going to Dan Vance Racing on 7/13 he said bring it and he will check it out for me. It will need to be opened up a bit to match the intake ports of the MVA heads. No luck yet of finding anybody else thats using one.

When i had my heads done i also had the dual runner there to be checked out. It did not flow very well. Both runners were necked down a good bit from the 50mm blades, When the man says porting it most likly wont do any good for the se113. I listened this time. I did the HPI 55mm. Runs very good Have a good day..

This is true IR
2x50 is too small for larger motors

Fully understand IR manifolds and the requirements

I bought a set of S&S 79 CC heads complete but disassembled and a 98 inch rotating assembly with some trick parts for $800

Want something to play with, thought this might be fun

The dual runner throttle bodies have one issue that should be mentioned, a vacuum source for the MAP sensor when running a Delphi injection setup, not a lot of info out there as to how a reliable reading could be taken from the MAP sensor, I have heard of tapping a port in both runners and using a T but have never seen it first hand, would be fun to play with on the dyno at any rate.
