We're using the Gatermans, these are the only ones with no issues so far.

at the suggestion of Doc and Wiz, when I dropped my cams in my 12 I decided to stay with stock pushrods so the rocker covers came off. While I was in there they both suggested that I drill out those return holes to 1/16" and the taper the holes with a 1/8" bit.

Got the motor tore down. Both pistons had significant scuffing. New pistons and cylinders (S&S) have been installed.

I'm running the new style breathers. Anybody else noticed that clear film on them? Didn't notice it when I installed them. It looks as if it would peel off. Should I leave it on there or take it off?

That sucks bro. Where these the axtell cyl in your sig that took a chit? Did the s&s drop right in to the cases? Reason I ask my cases are bored for axtell cylinders but want to go s&s but am told the spigots are bigger and wont fit my cases

The difference in spigot diameter is .010". We just turn the S&S's down to fit.

Can't be 100% sure, but I am hearing that a few others have had problems with the Axtell cylinders. I think I had about 7,000 miles, I'd have to check my records.

This problem existed when I had it tuned by Bean. I'm concerned that it may have given some false gas analyzer readings, or contributed to knock as we had to take a bunch of timing out. Maybe Bean or Georges will chime in with their opinion on this.
