electronic compression releases

Read this phrase in the 145 tribute article on HotBike. I had always shyed away from the higher compression because I would need a compression release, but this sounds like a good solution. Anyone have any info on these? What does HD use on the SERK?

Those ae wired into the starter circuit, and when the starter button is pushed they activate. I have the manual ones in my bike. 13 bucks compared to 150.

They are made by S&S here is the kicker though the release's are about 175 or so but you have to use their rocker boxes to fit the release's

I looked in to them cost was over 500 for the set up. I just reach down and push mine in.

HDWRENCH, do you know what the MOCO uses on the SERK? Are they manual? I don't have any experience with them, and being that I am EFI I assumed that an electronic version would be the best.
