help, help, help, with iron sport cam bushings

i was planning to put new brass bushings in the cam cover of my 71 sportster... i just caught a tail end of a post on another forum(while this was down) that i need to have the cam bushings line honed.. split the cases and send the roller bearing half w/cam cover to a machine shop... is this a must?? anyone recomend a shop that can do it correctly? i don't suppose it would be too expensive to ship.. i posted this in the sportster section too.. didn't know where it belongs.. if anyone can help me on this it would be greatly appreceated....i can't seem to get an answer on this one ... my whole ridding season(short at that) is waiting on this .....
