110" Heads need help.
Can anyone tell me what the specs are on these heads. The part number is 17248-07A. I have tried looking on Harleys web sites and I can't find any information. I know that they are 110 heads I think that they are CVO but I am not sure. What I am looking for is what will the springs hold are they 585 or 660. and what is the CC's on the heads. I think they are 95 cc but I am not sure. What I am building is the new Stage IV kit. I have the heads and I am getting ready to get the heads bored and I want to know if I need a 10.5 or 11.1 piston. so I can make it work for a 103 kit.

I have the Screamin Eagle catalog and that part number is not in there. So does that mean that they are a stock set of CVO 110 heads so what is the specs on them.

2.08" Intake, 1.625" exhaust on the 110 heads I've seen. The tightest coil bind I've seen was about .710", if you go with a .660" cam I'd check for clearance. They are pretty uniform at 95 cc's. less variation than the 88-96 heads from what I've seen. The casting # is not the part #, so it's going to be difficult to tell exactly what they came off of. Are you palnning to put them on a 103? I think the ports and valves are gonna be too big to give you good performance, also don't forget to enlarge the intake valve notch.

BTW, where did you get them, there was a recall I believe only on the touring 110's, the guides were too loose fit in the heads on many, Harley didn't require the dealers to send the heads back, so there's a lot of them on ebay.

I bought them from a friend of mine who had a Softail. He built a 124" so he bought all new heads. So I thought I could use them from my build. I just thought that I could use them head and build a kit that Harley came out with this year cheaper.
When your saying increase the valve notch do you mean on the piston.

Yes, the notch on the piston will have to be a larger diameter for the larger diameter intake valve.

So your telling me even when I pay a new set of pistons from Harley that is designed for this build I will have to change the notch. They make two pistons one is 10.5 and 11.1. In really what compression should I go with for running pump gas.
What cam do you think would run good with a build like this.
Should I run a .045 head gasket or small to make sure about the compreesion.

I'm not sure about the pistons. Do they actually make a 103 kit that comes with a head with a 2.08" intake valve? If so, I guess you'd be OK, but I'd clay it to be safe, just the same. And are the pistons designed for the 110 chamber?

i can not find anything online that says what actual kit these parts are from. google or the SE catalog or HD website, cant find anything. best bet would be to talk to a dealer perhaps and then you can find out what lift the springs will allow for, but the SE110+ heads and the SE pro twin cam heads are both 95cc. the SE110+ heads part # listed in the catalog is 17071-08A for the black highlighted heads. hopefully ya find the info your lookin for, ill keep an eye out til ya figure something out.

SE makes pistons for the 110 heads for all the sizes. 103", 110", and 113" in 10.5 and 11.0-1. Curiously, they also offer a 95" 10.5 comp version for use with the 110 heads

That's my problem. The heads say 110 on the side. But the part number I can't find anything on. When I type the number in it takes me to web pages that are on ebay. The number that I gave was a casting number in the top of the head one was for the front and the other one was for the rear. When I talk to the dealer he can't get the numbers to come up either. The only number that come up is all the new Screamin Eagle number and I have them in the new Catalog. Thanks for the help. If you find anything please let me know.
