113" final tune

Its time, this Friday, for final tune after break in. We will be replacing SE ignition with something?? Leaning towards S&S IST ? Would appreciate hearing others experience w/ignitions on big bore builds.

build is:

113" 4.060 bore 4 3/8 crank and wheels Wiesco 10.5 to 1 pistons

S&S .625 gear drive cams Roller rockers Mikuni 42mm carb

Rinehart true duals

Thanks for any suggestions on the ignition system.

se is not a bad system? you may want to look at crane dual ignition (part #8-1100) and dual coil (part #8-3006).

my pr113 is 10.25:1, pr3 .608 cam, 4.5" stroke, 4" bore and typical 42 mikuni

I will 2nd the DTT ignition.....Custom map capable by the right tuner.

Hdryder, i think the same thing. High flow pipes and midrange cam and a small carb..

I have heard this more than once. Also been told to go back to the CV. After this tune and Dyno ill see whats what and then consider options on the carb. Clay do you tune and if yes, would you be interested in tuning this one? We cant be to far apart.

Still undecided between S&S and DTT ignition. One tuner said he needed to put bungs in the head pipes to tune correctly / the other never mentioned it.

Getting mixed signals. However both have put nicely tuned motors out of there shops.

Run the DTT. The S&S IST picks up too many other rattles through the knock sensor

Why would you use the 44? I flows less than a HSR42.. I'd go for a CV51, HSR45 or G. CV51 on Tman manifold would probably be my first choice. Would tweak the 51 slightly tho, Bruce
