This is it!
This is what I've come up with to peg my fun-o-meter for this winter's project on a 2009 SG, critique appreciated;
Woods TW6 cam
SE HB Air Filter
Rinehart slip ons (already on)
Andrews 30T pulley
Power Commander 5 w/autotune
Anyone with similar build, thoughts would be appreciated!

It sounds great but if your planing on a 103 kit with head work later. Maybe you should consider a TTS Mastertune also plan on new lifters with new cams.

A 4* advance gear would help to bring it on sooner.

Oh BTW the TTS MasterTune has a speedo calibrator in the software....you will need this to ''0'' out your speedo after installing the 30 tooth sprocket. Just another advantage with the TTS over the PC

My bike is similar - tw6, K&N intake, SE slip-ons, PC III. it makes 99tq/89hp, with a big flat torque line. It's about a 15/15 gain over stock.
I think you'll be real impressed, I was/am, and have over 50,000 miles on it.
You'll be a little soft on the bottom with the cam straight up and stock compression. It's how I run, but i'm upping compression with a rebuild shortly. your 30T will help with that somewhat, or you could advance 4, or change head gaskets to .030. or leave it until some future headwork.
my tuner says the PC's are fine for tuning until you get too far out of the box -- like up over 100HP, modified throttle bodies, etc. I'm going to be right on the edge (and maybe over) what my PC III will do with my rebuild (107 w/ hillside heads) and I might outgrow it. so if you're thinking this is a stepping stone to another rebuild in a couple years -- you might want to go with the mastertune. also, as Doc points out, you'll have access to speedo calibration and other things with a mastertune that you don't with the PC. either will work at this point, and a PC is nice for making adjustments with your laptop... and i've heard the autotune is nice.
your future somewhat dictates your choice of tuning devices.

Yo Scott...
In a bagger with your 107 10.5:1 pistons / Stage III heads would you recommend the Woods 5, 6, 7 or the TW-408-44???

OK, maybe not...
I was thinking about a 103 kit, but thought maybe Cams/pipes/ac would keep me smiling for a while. I know I'm going to end up with a 120/120 eventually, just trying to identify the most fun & cost effective way to get there. Now if you needed advise on a 5000hp diesel I'd be your man, but I don't know squat about V-twins. Trying not to make stupid mistakes and I really appreciate advise from intelligent folks that have trod the same path.

JMHOP,I would scrap the PC 5 in favor of TTS Mastertune,And like previously mentioned run a +4 advancer instead of the 30T pulley. No head work???I would also ditch the slips ons in favor of a 2 into 1!!!

Are you currently running a TTS or having head work done?
Cheers!

Sublime,
AT 10.5, and in your neck of the woods, the "44-Mag" would spread things out more, BUT if that HUGE smack on the bottom-mid, is more to your liking, then either the 5, or 7H(compression set @ 10.1 7H, less on the 5) would be your man.
The 6, is not a weakling in that combination either as have witness 112/117(torque striking very soon and holding almost flat) D&D exhaust equipped, at Doc's H-D, in Kirkwood, Mo.
All those cams work, it just depends on what your looking for.

I don't agree with most here on scarpping the 30 tooth tranny gear! I used it on my 08 with woods 6 and hillside heads at 103". I'm betting most of those saying to scrap the 30 tooth haven't run it , absolutely the best $$ upgrade you can do on these 07+ bikes IMHO. As for tuning, go with the TTS, not that much more than the PC-V and can calibrate speedo(you'll appreciate this if you don't want to be constantly doing math in your mind when you ride to avoid speeding tickets) Also the TTS can be used when you go out bigger, the PCV is pretty much done if you do more motor work....
Used a Supertrapp 2/1 on mine and it was great...

Didn't they re-gear the '09 in question though? I could of sworn that 07-08 were the problem childs in the gearing department. I am going with the Evolution Industries 49 tooth clutch ring gear to solve that problem on my '07 Your '09 already has a bigger pulley in the back to drop the gearing where it belongs.
