Which Adjustable Push Rods? (TC 88)

I'm sure this has been answered before... I have a 2002 TC-88 and I want to open the cam chest to inspect and to measure my crank run-out to see if I can use gear driven cams. I also intend to put a little better of a cam in there when that work is done. I will evendetually need to cut my stock pusrods and want to put in Adjustables. But I have read all sorts of warnings about the lock nut cracking on the SE adjustable rods So what should I use?

Get a set from Zippers or Smith Brothers...

I have a set of the SE Tapered's new in the package sitting on the shelf for my engine build and now I may be buying a set of Smith Brothers to replace 'em.

S&S offers a complete kit with tubes, but Smith is coming to market in 2 weeks with their set-up, that is ging to be a home run.

smith brothers great product, reasonable price.

here is their website but they do not have any kit listed yet. you can still get any pushrod configuration you want from them.

Smith Brothers

By no means am I one of the premier Vtwin motor builders, but I have built many V-8's for the strip over the last 30 years. So when I started playing with V-Twins I researched most parts and settled with Smith Brothers. Both my builds have them and as far as I am concerned all my future builds will have them. I usually stick with what works.
