117 Motor and a "Quiet-Pipe?"
Not sure if this should go in the Exhaust section or not, but I'm trying to find out if any of the "Gurus" on this forum have added a Super-Trapp "Disc" muffler to a Road-Rage 2-1 Pipe for a 117" motor.
Right now, the Road-Rage is really freaking loud with a lil-ole 95-incher. I'm about to go to a 117 and can only imagine how loud that will be with that big-thumper.
I'm trying to "QUIET" the Road-Rage down a few notches...and still keep the HP and TQ levels respectable....
I'm not a huge fan of the aesthetics of the S/T Super-Meg 2-1 pipe. From what I understand, it will do the trick as far as "quieting" the motor down to a decent rumble. I just don't like the fact that it's fairly SHORT and TIPS-Upward......
Thoughts?

Super trapp just did one the customer is on his way home to TX. Loves the sound, quieter than fat cat with QB baffle. Or live with what you have. Engines need to breath.

Don't try to imagine, wait and see how it sounds to you after you're done with the 117". Then worry about it if there is something to worry about.

The D&D with the quiet baffle is an option.

the dyna pipe is short and tips upward as you say not fl softails or touring models ,you could just get a supertrapp muffler or e series muffler and slip on your rr headpipe might have to fab a mount but that not a problem ,thanks pete

Has anyone installed a S/Trapp muffler on the Road-Rage pipe head-pipes? Reason I ask, the beveled end-cap of the Road-Rage 2-1 might cause some issues aesthetically speaking...not sure what the discs will look like sort of floating in air....
Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks,

I added the "Old style" Dual exhaust to my 03 fatboy, 98 in ,wood hg6 etc. This exhaust had disk mufflers on each side and rally made the bike very quiet,,,gained nearly 10hp and lost no tq to 95 hp 98 tq . if you want to go quiet I think you will like the super trapp disk system. good luck.
