103 build

considering some engine work to my 07 street bob. already has 103" with SE pistons, 211 cam, SE race tuner. Looking to do ported heads, compression relief, SE roller rocker arms, SE roller rocker arm supports, SE adjustable push rods, woods 9b-6 cam.

exhaust is v@h straight shot slip on mufflers, considering going to a 2-1, but this post is regarding just the engine build.

am i overlooking anything? want good performance and reliability. any input or ideas are greatly appreciated.

what pistons do u have now? whats ur compression ratio? the SE211 cam is already pretty big, with 248/256 dur and a 45 IC... i would have ur heads ported and set ur compression around 10.5, with a cranking pressure around 195-200 and save all the other money... if u must change cams and want a Woods cam, go with the 8-6, with maybe a little more comp, 10.8?

claydbal will become famous soon enough
more cam, real headwork, but remember------headwork takes into consideration which exhaust you run. talk to your builder, or as it seems, another builder.

Is this a carbed or injected bike? Around here (with decent gas still available) I try not to push the carb bikes much past 190ccp. Injected stuff I run anywhere from 200-210.

Sorry, just realized we're most likely talking about an 07 dyna here (who brought the observant guy, right?) I'd run that 9b around 11.2. That's just me though. Don't forget a throttle body.

With the correct cylinder head mods with that combination, along with a 51mm HPI t/body, that'll have you really rolling!!!
JD's Cycle in Bethlehem, PA, tuned damn near 120/120 on that simlar combo, carbed!!
