You might as well get it over with and go to the 160". It will be a hell of a lot cheaper in the long run if you just go ahead and do it. but then, he'll come out wit a 178" or some such number and you will want that.

Just sayin..........

Yeah, your sick alright.
You better get used to running an allen wrench, sockets over that motor every 1000 miles or so.
Invest in some loctite stock too.
I love my 127 but, after having a primary inspection cover bolt leave, the timing plug leave among others, I am all over this motor every week checking things.
BTW, I gave up on blue and now use Red (sparingly) to keep things where they belong.
Big motors get hotter than smaller motors and like to move and shake more too.
Still, I wouldn't own a bike under 120 inches.

Oh I know what your talking about, I have a Dual carbed Patrick Raceing billet 125 in my custom chopper. But of coarse that is a rigid mounted Evo style motor.Im pretty sure that this will run nice and smooth. But It doesnt bother me to carry a few wrenches with me.

Congratulations on your build! Have spoken to Randy a few times about the similar build but not willing to pull the trigger until the 98" starts acting up.Making a smart choice going with the ductile cylinders.Which cams, heads, compression and pipes?

Im gunna ditch the thunderheader and switch to the D&D Borzilla.Randy is working on a cam right now.I am going to use my heads from the 113,they are 103plus heads that I had reworked by Hals Speed shop.I sent Randy the Flow sheets and he says they look good.Im pretty sure we are talking 11:1 compression.

Randy is a big fan of the S&S 640 but plan on running the Woods 9b in my future 124".

Wrinkle

Here is what Captain Vic's top end looks like black, these are the R&R stage 5 cast heads that I rounded the fins on to match the cylinders.

When it comes to running hot street motors, take what comes with them,it's worth it.They are just too much fun. After owning them for a while you learn what to expect,.Treating them gently (still a lot of fun compared to a stocker) they are easy on you.Pound on them and be prepared, it is the nature of the beast,no different than street cars with hot motors.
