I don't yet, but am getting build by KOC now, with 5 piece crank and it will be a 117.

If you talk with John Hoban again he did George's... He'd know the crank by mentioning JD'S Cycle Works...

Thanks Tab.

I was calling Jphn about having balancers put back into a bike, but, after speaking w/ him I found out he never actually touched the crank in this bike, in which I was told he did.

Just a can of worms I prob shouldnt open here.

They put them in for a reason. You may not like the feel without them.

From what i'm told, if the crank is balanced correctly, the vibration w/out them is minimal.

Not so in this case.

He is SE on another forum. I believe a few months ago he said he would not take them out again. I could be wrong but search for his thread.....
Below is the quote from SE

if the motor is put together correctly and the balancers were removed and then crank work was done by hoban or any qualified crank work guy there should be no relibility issues.
i run my bike with out balancers and yes i know the blown headlight at nite situation all too well.......i keep spares in my little pouch on the swingarm...
i would not run without them again for what extra power it creates in my opinion it does not matter.
its a personell choice.

Counterbalancers take out the vertical shake that happens naturally from the power strokes of the engine. No amount of voodo crank balancing can remove that. It will make the engine smoother that is rubber mounted or counterbalanced but it's not a direct substitute for either smoothing method. Just think of the money moco could save if they could get away without them.
