i have used them and they are a little bit noisier.

if you adjust your lifters by bottoming out and then backing off a turn...and you have top end clearances a little on the tight side...high rpm valve float will not be good to you...the limiters help there.

Agreed-
There are alot of riders that see 6k rpm plus when they hot rod around once in a while and need a stable valve train. I am going to be running hydrosolids now as an insurance policy as well as to pick up a couple ponies.
For those that just put put around and cruise the roads they are not needed.
Limiters and Hydrosolids are for the rest of us.

i'm in also. have my 2KI set at 6400 with jims rollers and limiters in my S&S tappets so they stay on the 640 cam at high rpm's.

needed? maybe.

going to the stock HD lifters this weekend. Might have a slight issue with the jims right now. Taking them out to be sure. Going to be a shop grunt at GMR this weekend...

I've tried them and I didn't care for the noise. I'll stick with the B lifters and what works for me.
Bottoming the plunger and then shortening the push rod by 0.060"is not a whole lot different than lengthening the push rod 0.140" - 0.160" from zero lash. Similar results, different approach.
