FR8TDOG11 wants to know Dino or Syn?
Thumbs up 2005 screamin eagle fatboy HP question

I have a 2005 screamin eagle fatboy being shipped to me and frikn excited. The bike has Vance and Hines big radius pipes with V&H fuel pak. Does anyone know what kind of HP I can expect at the rear wheel with this setup(screamin eagle103). Would I get more power if I had the SERT installed instead? Thanks for any input. Joe

I fell in love with the same bike. But after hearing that the stock 103se edition bikes really only have maybe 3 more pony's than I have,I got off that crush. Now dont get me wrong, you fixen to recieve an awesome bike, and if I'am not mistaken, isn't it carbed? But yeah,I would do the sert.

103"

No where near what you might expect.
To tell you the truth, an 88" with headwork and a Wood 6/Andrews 37 cams, tuned, with a good pipe, will wax you.
Sad but true.

We have tuned plenty of SE 103cuin that combo should be about 82 to 85 HP and 90 TQ with a little bit of work and a good exhaust . Tuned properly that 103 head can make great power

No....the 2005 Screamin Eagle Fatboy is EFI. Harley advertises it cranking out over 100 on the torque in stock config. I was just curious if anyone has experience with this bike configured with the V&H big radius turn down pipes and the V&H fuel pak and what HP that generated. This is how my new bike is set up. Mostly, just curious...not trying to create a dragster. Thanks Joe

A guy I work with bought one brand new . He had Vance and Hines long shots , sert, put on before delivery The dealer dynoed it with 2 miles on it (yes I tried to talk him into waiting a few miles). He got 96 hp 98 tq. I have A copy of his dyno sheet somewhere around here??? If I can find it I will post it.

This was done with just the pipes and a/c with a sert. ( I did not tune the bike ) We only ran it on the dyno to get a base line before the new cam install. It will be getting a woods tw 6-6 cam . Will re post once cam is installed and I re tune it .

I been looking since I posted still cant find it. Da@ wife messing in my drawers. I remember the numbers though because I was impressed and wanted to study it.
o-yea the 100tq. number was H-D'S CRANK NUMBER. I DID find the 05 SE brochure and it said 96tq. of course this is at the crank.

Regardless of the HP on my new bike, I'm sure I will notice a nice increase from my stock 1997 Fatboy 88 carb.

They do not run too bad really the gearing can be a bit tall for the baggers when loaded down in stock form. A simple cam swap will add more tq and hp plus allow the engine to pull the power out further. As you can see the tq falls off very hard.

Uh probably, but if I want to wax an 88 as you described...I'll just do the same to my 103 and then say goodby to the little 88 cheers. p.s--- someone will always be better
