117" Build Shipping from Hillside Today

I just got off the phone with Scott at Hillside; he is shipping my motor today.
I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. I will update this post with component details regarding what the build consist of when I get home this weekend (I am currently in Italy on Biz).
I plan to take pics and provide comments as applicable and will share with all who are interestd or will post them here (that is - if one of our computer savy individuals will send me an IM on the best way to do so).

More to come........

I know I would have just for kicks

Thanks - when I talked to Scott today he said he liked the quality and appearance of the TP rocker boxes. I guess it is the first set he has installed. I have never seen them on a bike other than in a pic. it will be a new for me as well.

What have you got in work with Hillside?

Those rocker boxes do look nice. I have a set myself i am going to install.

I was at Scott's today for a couple hours picking up my bottom end and the rest of my parts that came in. I should have some time end of the week and next week to get it together more. Probably two weeks or so before i get it all back in one piece.

Let us all know what that feels like when you take it for a ride. I think you will have some serious power there. These Hillside 117's are proving themselves over and over again.

tdd3748--CONGRATULATIONS!!! Nothing like getting a brand new motor to put in a bagger. I also have a Hillside 117 build and absolutely LOVE IT! Smooth reliable monster power....just what the bagger needs. Enjoy it and keep us posted. safe travels.

I am running the TP boxes on my HQ 120. It is the quietest top end of any builds I have done to date. And they look good !

tdd,
I put a pair on my 103 with Hillside stage II heads...I got an extra TP gasket kit as well, just in case. No run time yet, but did sound quiet...
Snowing again today
117" envy.
Have fun

My engine is also done as well- it is up at Joes getting tuned! I guess they did both our engines at the same time- can't wait for the maiden voyage!

I don't recall mentioning I was in Italy working 787 - I am curious what made you think that?

That is great to hear - sounds like a few others will be happy with the results you have experienced as well. I just thought they looked cool did not realize there were mechanical benefits as well.

SERT Help needed also

I posted this in another thread as well -

It will be clear by the end of this post that I am an FNG & Technology Challenged with regard to FI on Harleys, and since I have been unable to locate (SERT for dummies). I will ask my stupid questions of the experts here.

I have SERT version 3.50. I would like to know how to read the SERT maps I see posted in different threads - when I open the links it comes up as unreadable garbage (yes I have the the SERT CD downloaded on my computer).

Specifically I am looking for a map I can copy or manually load that will get my new 117 Hillside build in the ball park to ride for breakin prior to having tuned.

After you are all done your a$$ off or telling me to your help and expertise would be greatly apprciated.

In your profile, under Occupation: "Engineer on 787 program"

Italy. OK, now I understand all the delays...
