Opinions of my future build
I hope you guys will put in your 2 cents on my future build. The engine is a 06 88". I am plan on porting and polishing heads, installing larger valves 1.90 int. and 1.570 ex and cc. Also, mill the heads .040. 95" JE forged flat top pistions and .030 head gaskets. Cams are Andrew 44. I am trying to get 100hp/100tq, hope this possible. Do you guys think I will need comp. releases. Does anybody know any good dyno tuners around the Springfield, MO area. Any suggestions?

You don't state what CP your going to have. Think of the comp releases as insurance, if you need them you have them...

Build
The folks at Doc's will get you squared away, as they have built and tuned several of our combinations now, with great results.

Valve sizes look good. Decking heads .040? I would CC them, and then deck them to equal CC's. Who are you looking at for head work? Somebody localy or are you sending them out? Why the 44 cam? Not saying its wrong. Just wondering you thoughts on it. The 37's have been proven to go over 100hp/tq in 95's. I have seen a 26G get that. I am a firm believer in going with a cam the headporter suggest.

I'm with hardtail on his suggestion to go with your head porters recommendation.I don't think you'd have an easy time getting 100/100 with a 44 cam. It's only .495" lift, and a ported head is going to flow much better at valve openings larger than .495". Usually after putting in 1.9" valves and blending the combustion chamber, you're at around 88 cc's. pick a cam and mill to achieve the desired compression for it instead of picking an arbitrary amount to remove. cnc porting
I agree with what is being said about the cam.The porting that we like will make 100/100 with stock size valves, 105-108 with 1.900" intakes and if R&R welds and cnc ports with the 1.900's 108-110 and rev much quicker. Consistantly!

Thanks for all of your help. The bike is a 06 dyna. The headporter Dewey Jelen, any of you guys heard of him. He suggested the Andrew 44 cams, I also thought they were small in the lift area. He also suggested instead of using a domed pistion, mill the heads and use a flat top pistion to reduce detenation. Do you guys agree. Should I stay with smaller valves or go with the bigger valves. He built a Street bob that had 100HP/103TQ SAE with this set-up.

A lot of people do not run that cam but all you have to do is look on Deweys dyno page and he knows how to make them work
