Brief summary, original 124 build problematic, never did find out exact problems, Randy of KOC, one hell of a machinist, Also found out what he looks like in the morning ,noon, and night, new 131 , awesome looking motor, motor shipped, going to be installed and tuned at Dynojet. Moral of the story, No talent or mechanical ability needed, just a fat wallet.

Selecting the "last page" really comes in handy.

It's pretty well documented. Motor is done, a lot of R&D went into it, not your tipical bolt together build that BVBOB is used to.. It took HYPERFORMANCE 3 months to machine all the parts, fit them and build the motor. I received the motor last Wednesday at 6pm. Changing the trans to Baker OD6 then installing motor. Still waiting on D&D Borzilla 2 1/8" exhaust, have no idea when I'll get it. Even after I receive the exhaust I have to weld it together, it comes in pieces. Once welded I have to have it powder coated inside and out. It's still along way off before I fire it up.

Brief summary, original 124 build problematic, never did find out exact problems. It's all spelled out in detail for those of you that can read..

(Moral of the story, No talent or mechanical ability needed, just a fat wallet.)
BVBOB is a very resentful and envious individual. (jealous)

I striped the motor down prior to sending the bare cases to HYPERFORMANCE. I'm changing out everything else, building the exhaust etc. There is a hell of a lot of mechanical ability being used. I won't appoligize for sending money for something I want.

I don't think BVBOB has a clue to what has or has not been done. Can you say sour grapes...

Well,

Let's hope the problem was in the motor and not in the fuel management/igntion system. Sounds like you replaced everything else..

Here we go again Bruce... Three rebuilds for 3 different failures does not equate to fuel management. Ignition was and is stock. 3 times the roller rockers ate themselves apart.

I'm sorry, I miss understood. While the rollers and cylinders were one of the reasons for the thing coming apart, I thought you told me that it couldn't be tuned.. Bruce.

Wow, interesting ,500 posts in the other thread and we finally find out the major problem on the original motor. Yup, pretty much used to bolt together builds although when you pay attention to detail there really is no such thing as a "bolt together" Jealous?, harldy, if I thought a 131 build was in the best interest for the type of riding I do I could just as easily pull the trigger(aka, write the check) on it as the next guy, but you can bet the assembly would be done by me. Resentful?, not really sure why you would say that, if the guy that built the original motor (124)and took a beating here on the forum for it is not resentful than I certainly am not. I really wish you the best of luck with your new motor, looks like Randy did a hell of a job on it and covered every detail. But hey, glad to have you back, you keep things interesting, in a strange way, but interesting nonetheless, and btw, if you happen to run into newguy54, say hi to him for me, seemed like a good guy, wonder why they banned him permanently and brought you back, go figure.

BVBOB--"sour grapes"....whats the back story here that many of us don't know.....would love to hear more about it. Hell--we have to suffer through every little detail of the new 131 build...including pics of t-shirts and all other kinds of crap that is irrelevant....so --Might as well fill us in on the history behind the failed 124 and the new "131 R&D" build by the "innovators not imitators"......inquiring minds want to know....
