Mikuni HSR45 idle adjuster missing ?

This may be come off as a really ignorant question, but I bought a SE version of a Mikuni HSR45 from another forum member and I cannot find any way to adjust the idle speed. This is my first experience with this carb model so, I thought maybe I am overlooking something. I went online and it appears to me that a part is missing, the idle adjuster . I see only threads in the spot where it is shown on the diagram.

Can someone please confirm the idle screw location from the attached picture, just in case I have the wrong diagram ? If it is missing any idea on the fastest place to order a new one ? In the part list it also mentions a long and short version - will either work - is one easier to adjust than the other ?

Thanks for your help.

go to mikuni.com, they have downloads of the manual, and schematic of the carb. Also part #'s so you can order what you need.

murphdog is an unknown quantity at this point
Yep, that's where it should be. There are some other parts in there that may not be there anymore either.

From the exploded view:

You are correct.

I called several HD dealers, and no parts are available from them, two of them didn't know Mikuni made a Screaming Eagle carb . I then called some local shops and finally found one that was willling to take the time to cross reference the parts and will order them for me right away. So, if nothing else I found a guy at a local shop who is willing to go an extra step to help me out. I know who I will be calling first when I need parts in the future. It looks like it may take up to a week to get the parts , but it is what it is ...

Thanks for the feedback.

glad you were able to find the parts, some counter guys are just stupid or lazy, I couldn't get jets from a dealer, he wouldn't even order them for me.

I am sorry, they must have pulled the billet one that was on there when I thought I was going to use an HSR48. I can have Sudco send the entire assy. out to you and you should have it within a few days... Let me know if you haven't already reordered the part.
If you have, I will reimburse you $25.00 since the assy. is $16.95 + shipping. The complete assembly part number is 007-674. You do not need to order all the parts separately.

Darktrainer - just to let you know there are no bad feelings here or intent to make it sound like you did something wrong. I understand what happened and you were quick to offer an apology and assistance when you found out. My intent was to make sure I wasn't just overlooking something and to get some help in finding parts quickly for now and in the future should I need them.

It's all good ...
