Dyno Question

Ok here's the deal.
I have an 04 fatboy and I changed the exhaust to the V & H bigshot longs, Changed the air cleaner to the hypercharger and installed the PC III.
I installed the closest map they had and was getting some popping on decell.

Ok so I am up at Laconia last year and see a tuning center on the side of the road, Now I have been wanting to get the bike dynoed so I figured why now.

They tell me they can do a custom map and most likely get me some more horse and get rid of the popping. The cost 300 bucks. So I go ahead and do it because the popping is driving me crazy.

the guy runs my bike for like 30 mins and says he can't get all the poping out, says it's because of the pipes, but the dyno comes up with 80 hp. He says that is the best any stock fatboy motor will ever get without motor work.

I am feeling a bit cheated with only 30 mins spent on the bike and with out a printout of the start of the dyno I am not sure he got me any more hp then I had before I got there. To top it off, he turns to me and asks if I want the rev limiter raised for ANOTHER 15 bucks, I declined.

Any thoughts? did I get riped off? do you think another turner can do better?

Oh and now it pops more then ever before and is driving me completely nuts.

Any help would beter great and thanks

Ride safe

What kind of popping? Decel popping or is it farting out the intake or really backfiring. Decel popping is a fact of life with drag pipes. 80 hp. from a TC88 with nothing more than AC and pipes(especially drag pipes) is good power. If your not happy then contact GRock on this site and ask him if he can tune it for you or recommend someone. He's in CT also and he knows more about tuning that just about anyone else on this site.
