Se 255 Camshaft Question

Has anyone here used the SE 255 camshaft in a stock stage one 07 96" TC? If so, how did the cam work out? Did it take away low end? Looking at the specs on this camshaft it appears it would work well with a bagger. The cam has good lift and very mild duration, which should equate to a good all around camshaft. The duration specs are somewhat close to the Andrews 26 camshaft.

I think there are better choices for a stock 96 than the 255 cams. I think I recall someone doing them in a stock 96 and it ended up with a dead spot down low

No dead spot here when riding, but had to add timing to it to make it come alive. No dyno yet to show for it though

If you have a good way to tune it I think it would be a great cam. It's the stock cam in the Screaming Eagles if you didn't know. With that said, it's not great in the 110" and much better in the 103 but at 10 to 1 the kit comes at, it's a little high on the compression. The proper tune is critical in that case and it could use releases. Mines a little tough on hot start.

I wouldn't hesitate in a 96" stock engine. I know someone who has a nice set used at a good price if you're interested (out of a 110"). He decided not to use them as the fuelpak does not have a map for them. Let me know if you're interested.
