Worse mpg since stage 1

I have a 08 RKC. I ran the SE slip-ons only for the last couple months and averaged about 45 mpg. A few weeks ago I had the stage 1 done and now I'm only getting 38-40 mpg. My riding habits haven't changed, so is this normal? I'm having the 10K service done next week and I would like some unbiased opinions before I take it to the dealer and he tries to sell me a bunch of $$$ stuff. Thanks in advance.

I had Vance and Hines duals and oval mufflers, SE air cleaner kit and SERT installed along with the stage 1 burn. I was getting around 45 when stock and I too am getting around 40 now (not verified). I think it is going to be normal, no need to worry.
I have an 08 Ultra Classic.

The lower fuel mileage may have come from the computer download, The flash is a one size fits all and many times it works well and other times not as good. A complete tune would be the best way to ensure that you have the proper fuel Afr across the board under all riding conditions. Other than that is is mainly guessing each engine is a bit different and what works great for one may not work as well for another. For a stock bike getting 40 is not bad. As I said previous a dyno tune would be helpful in this as you can alter the Afr to get the best performance and fuel mileage, that you can.

Hi.

I took my 2007 on a trip over to the coast, through the coast range (There are three passes to go through, the highest was 1890 feet) and I got 47.4 MPG @ a average speed of 55 mph.

Around town I get 33-35.

My engine has some minor tweeks, GMR roller rockers, crane adjustable pushrods and Cometic's .030 head gaskets, but that is all minor stuff.
I am using a Vance and Hines pro pipe, free flow air filter and the Fuelpak.

07 FLSTC for first 10k after stage 1 at 1K, (SE/AC, Rush 2", & dyno) I got 38-42 mpg, 40-40-20 town, country, highway. I dont know why but after this springs 10K check-up I am still riding the same, 2 up 95%. I'am now getting 42-45 mpgs. only thing different is new plugs and I changed to formula+ in primary and trans..

What do you get rolling down the hwy @ 75 mph?
