I was using it until the price went up to $9 a quart. Now I use the Mobil 1 15w-50 in the 5qt jug for $23 at Walmart.
No problems here at all, inside of the motor still looks like new.

There are scores of folks using both VTwin and 'auto' 15W-50 M1. Go over to the Oil forum and scan thru the hundreds of posts on this subject, or just hit the search button.

Yep, that's been mentioned too. In my case I went with the M1 VT 20W-50 whilst under warranty and will now be using the M1 15W-50 as I am out of warranty.
I am pretty sure the manual calls for 20W-50, so the nervous amoung us will probably want to stick with that while 'warranted'. As long as the oil you use meets the specs in the manual, warranty legally cannot be an issue. If anyone says other wise, have `em go lookup the Magnuson-Moss Act

Bob Is The Oil Guy Forum
If you really want to get a lot of in depth info on the M1 V-Twin 20-50 oil for your bike, go to the "Bob is the oil guy forum." There is a lot of info there under motercycle lubrication regarding this oil. Nothing I read there said anything negative about it. I use it in both of my Harleys with no problems. The guys on that forum are like a bunch of oil engineers. Lots of great detailed information regarding all lubrication products.
A lot of guys on that forum with Harleys are using the M1 15-50 car oil in their bikes, but the M1 V-Twin 20-50 has a lot more moly in it than the 15-50 oil. I also think the 20-50 oil is better in the summer. But thats just my opinion.

Yo Airman,
Nothing better than 20w50 mobil1 V-Twin use it in my 07 road glide in all three holes. Was using syn3 20w50 upon changing gained almost 5lbs of pressure at a hot idle and about the same at about 3 grand hot.Reduced top end noise, and the trans shifts better I didn't see any diffrence in the primary.I use mobil 1 products in anything I care about! I can also tell you that the 15w50 mobil1 will be fine too!I used that many years ago in our drag bikes 86 gsxr1100 that ran low 8's at over 160mph the first season we broke the motor down three times and changed bearings out of guilt there was no signs of wear! 1109cc mtr inj with nitrous never had any clutch issues in three seasons and never had a bearing failure! Good Stuff

I use it. Since the price went up it doesn't move off the shelf too quick anymore. I bought all the local wallmart had in stock for half so they could clear it out.
I dont use it in the primary though. Too slick for the clutch.

I agree on the primary. Too much Moly. I use dino type IV auto trans fluid in my primary and for the first time in my life, I can actually say I felt a difference in performance by changing an oil product.
M1 75W-90 synthetic gear oil in the trans works great also. A nice thin gear oil that holds up to heat and gear shear. Nice quiet shifts also. (Winter or summer)

Unless the formula has changed thats bass ackwards V-twin has no Moly in it..last breakdown I saw of it. The 15-50 does thats why it slips in the primary more
I run 15-50 in the engine as well
Type F ATF in primary
Mobile 1 75-90 in the tranny
