I'm getting 38.7, plus or minus a couple of tenths. I have checked the mileage most every tank and it doesn't matter if my 08 Ultra Classic (100% stock) is loaded with luggage and the wife or solo with no luggage, in city or highway. I have not filled up where the mileage wasn't 38. something. I have less than 1500 miles on it so far which means it should go up, maybe.

Diggerpine here; Took a recent trip to Lost Wages (Las Vegas). I have a 07 RG with the Stage II Big Bore 103 upgrade (SE-255 cams, Stage I air cleaner, CVO type Slip-On Mufflers and HP Clutch Spring) I weigh about 260, rode solo and had about 30 lbs of gear. I kept the speed around 70-75 mph (2700-2900 rpms) I got a high of 65 mpg (Interstate) with a tailwind and a low of 37 (city), Average of 51 mpg.

That was running at 74.5 mph (120kph)
I dont know how these Ultra riders on this and other forums get 45-50 miles to the gallon running at 75 mph all the time
Maybe the Gas (Petrol/Fuel) is better in the USA
Mine is with a Thundermax and is leaned out to 14.2 in the cruising range as well.

We get that on the freeway, long rides at 55-70 mph/ in the city I get 33mpg

I routinely get about 40 in daily driving, and can top 50 on a pure highway tank.
For example, yesterday's fill-up was 4.013 gals on 163.8 miles of typical suburban driving = 40.81 MPG. And, no, I do not baby it.

Just got back from a 2300 mile trip on my 07 Road Glide. 96", 37H cams, ThunderMax, Rinehart 2:1 & K&N. This bikes been all over the map on mileage. I been as low as 28 when hot rodding and splitting traffic so I leaned her out a little before I left. I was averageing about 33 commuting between the mountain roads, Hwy 50 and surface streets. I got around 38 -40 on the trip while packing the ol'lady and riding with a turd that wouldn't go over 75mph. The last two days I averaged 36.5 on my commute. I can live with that!

Before the Big Rs, FuelPak & A/C, I was getting a tad over 38 with the XB...I haven't gotten the tank down to the refill point, so I can't attest to the MPG from the new set-up...I will report back after I've run a few tanks...

Just filled er up for the first time since the exhaust-FP-A/F upgrades & combined driving - hiway & city got me 42 MPG...
It's up from 38 MPG, about a 10% increase...
I'll take it with the price of gas...
Gotta try to get an extended road trip one of these days to see how she'll do for hiway miles...

My 2008 Fat Bob is only getting around 30 to 32 on average. I have a SE Heavy Breather, SE slip ons and a Power Commander. I'm just under 900 miles and have my 1000 mile check scheduled. Was a little curious, would they have the PC set to run a little rich for the first 1000 and then lean it out some at the 1000 mile service? I was very good for the first 500, went pretty much by the book, now am opening up a little more and cracking it open on occassion. I have pretty much been in the 28 to 35 range depending on how much in-town vs. highway I've ridden.
This is my first big bike and first Harley, I'm trilled so far and am starting to make my list of cross country trips to make with the wife (and without!!)
