I'm a bit worried about oil pressure, as it will drop going through a cooler.
My cooler is the slimline 6 row. They are mounted on the crash bar going left to right. They are hung under the top bar even with the front cyl head. This way they do not block air from the cylinders. I will take a picture and post it so you can see them. I rode in to work this morning and oil temp in the tank never went over 175 . If it gets cooler I can cover one or both coolers to keep from running with the oil to cool. Oil pressure will not drop with the oil coolers because they have more area inside than the pump can fill. You should see an increase in pressure due to oil being cooler. With out coolers my oil pressure would go 5 to 8 psi when hot idling. Now it holds 12 to 16 psi. This is after a longer and hotter run than before I put the coolers on. Coolers are the way to go on a air cooled motor that for some reason cannot get rid of heat.

I did however use a 1/4 bolt with 7/16 head and screw on 4 - 7/16 nuts and managed to torque the adaptor down to specs.
I had to make one with bolt and jam nuts. To get a 7/16 you have to look at 1/2 drive.

So is it safe to assume that the Jagg 10-row coller is much preferred to the HD Premium?

It would make sense, but frankly, the mounting "look" of the Jag leaves much to be desired. I am all for functionality over form, but in Jagg's case it's very one-sided.

I don't think the lowmount looks bad at all but my bike is black.
According to Jagg their new lowmount cools about 25% better.

Any cooler will help, pick your style and put it on. The only thing is to get good airflow to it and check your adapter for trash before you put it on.

Mine should be here any day, or so I am told. Just going to do it with the oil in, and put a new filter on.

Notice on coolers between the frame down tubes.

We installed a HD cooler on a Heritage Softail Classic between the frame down tubes. The owner then went to Fl. in a hurry and discovered that his oil ran the same temp at 80 mph as it did without the cooler. Oil temp was 240 degrees with and without. This means that the fat fender is blocking air to the cooler at speed. I have thought this might happen, but this is the first time we did a before and after test on a the same bike with this style cooler. So if you want to use a cooler with a wide front fender, mount it to the outside of the frame rails. It did help at lower speeds but not near as much as we have seen on outside mounted coolers. Not trying to start anything just letting people know the results of a test.

This is after 2 months of messing with timing and AFR. My oil temp was 250 /260 stock. With 2 oil coolers and amsoil I stay about 185 on normal riding. The bike stock was not usable, too hot and ran poorly, now I ride it every where with very little concern about heat and pinging. The first 6 months I put 1600 miles on the bike because of problems with heat and pinging with no help from dealer. After mods I put 7500 miles in the past 2 months and love it. The heat is real on some bikes but most people opt to pay $1500.00 to Harley to fix it. But I refuse to pay Harley to fix a bike that should be right when I take it home.
I've been saying this on here for weeks. My rear is 380+ after they "fixed it" I would like to know the reason for the different between front and rear.

I would think geography, would have some to do with it.

I took a week long course in thermography, ws going to go for the liscence, but never did. I warn people of using thermal cameras and such. Emissitiviy.

people been talking abut pinging, but I haven't had any. Rode it in 2 90 degrees days, which isn't alot. Maybe I am blowing smoke, but I keep wondering if people are lugging these motots. They shift alot differant then the 88s, alot later. That will cause pings.

The 07 filter mount has two holes, what are they for? Temp sender?
I got a HD cooler yesterday, and it replaces the existing mount. I though maybe it was for a cooler at first.
