how many cubic inches????
i just recieved my th400-6 cams from bob woods for my 09 ultra, my heads are going to scott at hill side cycle for stg-3 work ,and woods springs, i was thinking about hillside boring cylinders to 107 cuin, but i am also thinking about 103 cuinch, is there that much power difference between the different sizes of cylinders? vs longevity???????
thanks

Yes, they should be worth it, it doesn't cost much more, if any.

You should have that decided before you have the heads done.

I run the 400-6 in my 103. Great cam. My heads are done, roller rockers, etc. Nice pulling power.

well dont you do the heads according to the cam?? thats what bob woods and i talked about displacement isnt as important as the heads. pick a cam do the heads with the correct piston design. i.e. cast/forged/compression??? hmmmmm?????

Displacement is not as important as the port on the heads, but the sizing of the combustion chamber does matter here.
Yes, the 107 size cylinders for a 96" engine is the same as the 98" bore for an 88" engine.

that is correct.......but i would not use the same ports/valves or chamber on a 95 as a 117.. Scott needs to know 107 or 103 for setting up the pistons....

Nothing wrong with boring stock cylinders to 98".
PS go with the 107
