left muffler cool enough to touch

My 3900 mile 08 electra glide left muffler is cool enough that I can touch it with my bare hand after a 30 mile ride, header coming off the back cylinder is plenty hot. The right muffler is too hot to touch. I know the cross over pipe delivers more exhaust to the right side but is this normal? I have put about about 1000 miles on the bike, my first Harley. In the old days I would say it is a clogged carb but this is fuel injected. One local dealer says it is okay the other says bring it in for a look see. Anyone else run into this? Can't really see any performance issues, everything is stock except the Rinehart slip ons. Thanks in advance....

Tis normal. In fact you may want to moniter the left side muffler for rust buildup inside. If your slip ons are symetrical you could swap them from side to side annually.
I'm running SuperTrapp slip ons on my '05 EG and have six discs on the left side and eighteen on the right. The headpipe puts out that much more exhaust out the right side.
I pulled the fiberglass packing out of the left muffler 'cause it wasn't drying out and causing corrosion even though my shortest ride is twenty miles.

Mine was the same due to the increase flow that the new slip-ons have. Nuthin goes thru the left pipe. I wasn't happy with that so I bought Tru-dual headpipes and installed them. Now each muffler gets exactly the same amount of exhaust flow goin thru them.
