Lifter Oil Holes

Ok, changing cams today and pulled lifters out without watching where the oil holes were in the lifters.
Do the oil holes go on the inside or outside?
Thanks

Doesn't matter, I put them back in the same way they came out just to keep the wear pattern.

Absolutely agree. I try to keep the wear pattern undisturbed..if I don't it's not the end of the world. Put them back either way, you'll never know the difference.

The book says to point them inboard. I put them in pointing at each other.
