Original poster ya it comes down to preference as in anything.
Plain and simple when you compare apples to apples.
same conpression same heads cams etc.the more ci is going to win out.
Human nature sometimes gets in the way of honest opinion.
you know what I have is better because its mine!
when you go to a big bore 95 from a 88 you increase compression more than what a stock 96 has so that isn't a apples to apples comparison.
Although even with the increased comp of a 95 ci and Andrews 26 cams with stock heads...my stock head 96 with 204 cams produced better numbers on the dyno than the friends 95.
Even showed up more on the street
and this was his RK against my ultra!
Of course Dennis I was running true duals.....wait a minute so was he LOL!
o-YEA I agree one is just as reliable as the other...Once you address the junk cam tensioners in the 88's
