reduce compression

i have a set of se heads for my 103 build that yeild about 10.80 compression according to the harley chart.how can i get it down to about 10.01?

I'm sure there is a way to do it with the heads, but it's probably easier and cheaper to change the pistons. Unless what you have already yeilds the lowest.

heads gaskets

It takes a good engine guy but there are many different thickness head gaskets on the market that would be the cheapest and easiest

That's right...but......Going with a thicker headgasket will open up the squench area a bit much. Not too good for pinging and tuning issues that may occur. I would rather send the heads out to a good machine shop to be opened up a bit or switch out to a dished or custom piston.

True that is how i do my builds but just giving another option I beleive at just 10:1 there should not be any tuning problems

claydbal will become famous soon enough
first off, forget about the harley chart. CC the heads and tell which pistons you have. the CORRECT math can then be done.
