Andrews 21 or 26?
Which is the better cam to use on a 2007 Electra Glide pulling a trailer and with a passenger? Which has a better idle? I have not been able to find posts on anyone that has used the 21 cam. Thanks for your help.

How extensive are your planned modifications? If it's Stage1 stuff and a cam I'd suggest the 21, it works well with stock compression.

Yes it is a Stage1 with a Tmat. My main concern is nice driveablity as oppossed to best 1/4 mile time.

21 signs on and off a little sooner on the rpms than 26. Both very torquey.
Very gentle on the valvetrain.

I'd go with the 26.

I have an 88 but I just put the 26 in my bike. Pulls very good just off idle up to 5000. I'm very happy with it.

crane 6000 very happy
2007 flstc slip ons at 500 miles. crane 6000 cams at 2000 miles now at 4200 miles no tuning runs fantastic plugs look good. Since cam change motor runs cooler, no pinging, and hot restarts are not a problem. One problem is back tire its gone, do a lot of riding on back roads and i belive (power is strong and now) eating it up. rear tire on my 05 would last 9000 miles. But anyway i love the power band i hardly ever give it full throttle because it just goes so good at mid throttle openings.

Me too. I've seen two dyno charts on 26's installed in 96" engines, and the results are underwhelming, with barely any improvement either in TQ or HP. These cams seem to work well with earlier TC's, but not the 96.

Could you share with me any other changes you mad to your bike? I am very interested in this cam for my '07 RG. Did you do a dyno tune or just install the cam?
thanks
Dave

I saw the same dyno run posted where a tw26 made little improvement on a 96" motor. I keep asking for the specs on the '07 cams but never receive an answer. If the 96" cams or so bad why do they post the torque numbers they do, I'm sure that the stock heads reduce the HP number just as they would on a 95" with no head work.
The only people I hear rave about bolt in cams on the 96" motor are the ones who use the crane 1-6000. Some of the sponsers are recommending the TW37 as a bolt in. I don't see how you would have much low end pull with it in a stock 9.2 engine.
