This was origenally posted in January. Prices change. Also check other 20% off dealers and see if they have a price difference. One poster suggested that the one in Chicago was slightly cheaper then Zanotti on some items.

The latest part number is 29773-02C, this was written for the 29773-02B. Don't know what is different about it. Since 29773-02C still lists the same years/model bikes as the 29773-02B, I assume the change is probably something small like a different screw head or something stupid.
According to the HD web site, 29773-02C is the one for the '07's, but I'd be willing to bet the 29773-02B will work just fine.

I am looking to do a Stage 1 on a carb'd 03' Heritage. Can someone point me toward a listing for the carb'd list for what I need? Or post the full list of parts? I know some of the parts used on the injected but I need the carb'd recipe.
Thanks
Martin

The same parts should work for a carb, but add up the prices first. When you add them up I get about $60 just for the parts (no filter yet). Add another $40 for a filter and you're up to $100. I got a Ness Big Suck for $97, and could probably get cheaper if I looked harder. I don't think they added for 2 banjo bolts ($10 each) 3 filter bolts ($8 each). Good Luck..

Your right... it appears I truly am a moron... I added everything up incorrectly. I updated the origenal post with the correct numbers. IMO, its still a deal cause you get the SE A/C with a much better Air Cleaner.
I also checked out Zanotti's web site and priced everything out again. Here's the latest as of today (note again, prices will/do change):
Part# - Quantity - Price Then - Price Now - Total - Description
29478-05A - 1 - $9.66 - $9.66 - $9.66 - Gray Back Plate
29620-99 - 1 - $6.54 - $6.54 - $6.54 - Chrome A/C Insert (optional)
29583-01A - 1 - $0.83 - $0.83 - $2.52 - A/C Gasket
99642-97 - 1 - $5.68 - $5.90 - 5.90 - 243 Blue Loctite
29557-05 - 2 - $8.88 - $8.18 - $16.36 - Breather Plug
11292 - 2 - $1.16 - $0.90 - $1.80 - O-Ring
29447-99A - 3 - $8.13 - $8.71 - $26.13 - A/C Mounting Stud
3938 - 3 - $1.80 - $0.60 - $1.80 - Torx Screw
Total Then: $72.08 Total Now: $70.71
I also checked out fox-performance's web site and their price for the K&N HD-0800 air filter has gone up since my origenal post. It was $36.43. It is now $50.95.
This brings the total for the base kit to $121.66. Not as good of a deal as it was, but its still a pretty good deal over the stock HD SE Stage-1 A/C in my opinion due to the K&N air filter. You can also hack off $5.90 for the loctite and get a bigger bottle somewhere else. Loctile is always something you want on hand in your garage, so it doesn't really apply to the real cost of this kit (or should I add the cost of the wrenches too?).
You can also take off $6.54 for the Chrome A/C Insert since it serves no functional purpose. This brings the grand total to $109.22, making it an even better deal even compared to the Big Sucker. The Big Sucker isn't as well made IMO with the thin aluminum backing plate etc.

Another option. You can get the K&N RK-3909 kit from jegs.com delivered for $115 total. It comes with everything, including a new backplate, K&N filter, velocity stack, all the screws, instructions, etc.
Just got mine yesterday, and will put it on this weekend.
Ride safe.

Problem with the K&N A/C is that its made of plastic. I used to have one of their cold air intakes in my truck and after two years it cracked from the heating and cooling from being in the engine bay etc. They use the same plastic in all their kits, so the RK-3909 is no different. The plastic will eventually get brittle and crack, especially with our air cooled motors if you do any cruising... Good luck...

so the RK series kit is not as good as we would think then?
i was actually considering one of them for my 07 ultra, instead of the harley version, but if this is the case, i dont know that i like this new info...

I'll say it again... Please read the first post. Or even two posts up... Its not that hard.
A screw it... YES, it will fit your bike...
The SE A/C is not just a filter change (over stock). Its a complete kit. This kit described in this thread is the same as the SE A/C but with a K&N filter.
This thread is about building your own SE A/C (with K&N filter). Post your own thread about your other questions, or better yet simply search the forum. TONS of people have asked the same questions you have.

29440-99d
I went to my dealer a few days ago to get a price on a SE AC for my 2007 Ultra Classis. I am looking at the quote he gave me and it says it is P/N 29440-99D. Anyone know how this is different from 29773-02B and 29773-02C?

According to the HD web site and it doesn't show 29440-99D. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, its just that the HD web site doesn't list it. According to the HD website, the SE A/C p/n for your bike is 29773-02C. The only difference between it and 29773-02B is the air cleaner cover decal. So there is no mechanical difference. Only cosmetic.
