I've tried the collapsed oil box method, tin foil method and soda bottle method. I can never get it to not drip oil all over the place. The problem on my ride is getting the oil to actually get onto device stuffed under the oil filter (oil box, tin foil etc). It always manages to get underneath it and run down the little channel the oil filter sits in and down the side of the motor. While most of the oil will go where I want it to go, a decent amount will still pour down the side of the motor.
Anyone know how to do this "trick" on a more recent motor? The Softail motors (at least my year) doesn't have that much room between the filter and the motor. Thanks.
