twin cam dyno results

Just looking for input regarding these results - checking to see if they are typical for Stage I Mods. To me, peak power (75.2 HP) looks respectible, but peak torque (81.5 lb-ft) is a little low. The shape of the torque curve looks pretty good though, being essentially flat.

Hi Jax -Just looking at your dyno sheet , the HP is good , and about what you would expect , IMO the torque can use some work - the torque peak is a bit too high in the rev range , if the torque peak was bought back to about 3300rpm you will lose the dip that starts to appear at about 2700rpm . A little bit of tinkering would do it , but be happy with it because when you are cruising you are very much in the torque band , it should be a good ride .

Paladin1 is on a distinguished road
Jax, I have a 02 Road King, with EFI. I understand they produce less power, so don't know if this helps, but after a stage 1 with a factory reflash on the chip, the dyno showed 68 hp, and 78 tqe.. It was not tuned on the dyno, rather that was a base line before a stage 2 kit. After stage 2, 82 and 92. Based on that, I suppose you could guess you either have high hp or lower tqe (kinda like optimist vs pessimist??). No idea how much the efi affects it. good luck, greg
