Alternate Passing Lamp Wiring

I would like to alter my Passing Lamps so they are on when the high beams are on. I know how to do that from the attached picture. My question is, can I run this from a different accessory feed? I have powered speaker run in the accessory switch curcuit and changed that fuse to a 5 amp(thanks Harris!) instead of the 15 amp.

Thanks.

edit: It's a '04 Road King Custom

You can run it from any switched circut accessory or other. You will know if you over amped it by the blowing fuse. And I know you probably dont want to hear it, but the reason they are wired to the low beam is because at lower speeds around town or stop and go traffic, it has too much amperage being pulled from the system. And you can figure out the rest.

Yeah, I knew that at lower RPMs there is too much draw for the charging system. I would run them as I do now with low beams on and passing lamps on for the day time. I want to do this for night time highway riding. Lots of critters here in Wisconsin.
Thanks for the help Jeff.

First of all, refer to your correct wiring diagram in your service manual.

The way I did it was to cut the yellow wire running from the low beam to the passing lamp switch. Then connect the yellow wire from the passing lamp switch to the blue wire that goes from the headlamp fuse to hi/low switch on the left hand control. This will give you power to the passing lamp switch at all times and still be on the headlamp circuit.

That's exactly what I will do. Staying in the same circuit sounds like the best way to go.
Thanks Bob.

One other alternative is a kit I saw for sale on ebay. It changed out the switch to a three position switch. One was on with low beams/on with high beams/and off. Think it was 30 bucks.
