Primary Adjusting Shoe

2003 FLHTCUI 23,500 miles.

I was changing the Primary oil today and saw there is some wear on the nylon adjusting shoe. I would guess about 1/8". How much wear is too much wear? Any wear at all? or is there an accepted amount...

I checked the primary chain adjustment and it is good.

Good question. I replaced mine at 40k. The grooves were almost deep enough for the rollers to start contacting the shoe. Figured that was decent criteria to replace, especially since the shoe is cheap and easy to install.
