Wtf????

I was heading out to join my fam for lunch....I opened her up a bit and the pooped and started running rough. I pulled over and shut her down.....after a couple of min I fired her back up and headed out again...this time she stopped...no power...no lights...speedo stuck at 40. pulled over again let her sit...she fired up and I limped her home. Just checked the battery +/- connections..all tight...pulled the plugs...they look good too.

The strange thing is that my Neutral light goes out as soon as I fire her up..and stays out...and also if I have the power on (not running) and I shift to first the Check Engine light flashes briefly..............I am clueless here.

Ok...she cranks...idles fine for a couple of minutes and then starts to stutter a bit.......speedo is not throwing any codes.

Al sorry I have no clues for you but had a strange experience myself today.

Rode over to Port Aransas and after getting off the Ferry stopped at convenience store to put on some sun screen. Went to turn on the bike and just one loud click and then nothing. Would not turn over and the radio and dash were out nothing. It was like I blew a main circuit or something. After that happenend I recalled that the bike started up a little slow this morning and after I fired it up to pull off the Ferry it was a slow start like a low battery.

So I called a flat bed wrecker and sat there enjoying the day and visiting with folks until the wrecker arrived. Guy got there and we were talking and he asked mileage so I turned the switch and wala the radio was on and the dash was on so I hit the start and it cranked like a champ. I was stuned and felt stupid having the wrecker come so far. Anyway rode it to the Harley dealer and left it for them to figure out. They did replace the main switch when the bike was in last on a recall deal. So not sure wha the deal is. When I got to the shop I turned the switch on and off many times to see if it would repeat itself but no issues. So not sure wha the deal is, maybe just grimlins. Just glad I was not in a rush to get somewhere and had the time to burn.

Hope your issue is not a big or expensive one. For me I am thinking I should have traded for a new ride a few months ago when I had the bug. But I was a tighwad and devcided not to.
