Piston Size

Can anyone tell me from the numbers on these pistons if they are Stock 88's or stroker 96' pistons? I have removed the side cover and saw gear drive installed, but couldn't tell what cams, and wondered if anything else was done to this engine besides that. These were taken installed with a boroscope, so no other way to tell.

claydbal will become famous soon enough
they wouldnt be 96" if the motor was tc88. tc88 big bore HD pistons are stamped 1550 on top. i cant read the numbers, could be aftermarket big bore?

so, looks stock, whatever year/model bike you may have. the previous owner cant tell ya?

Try a little carb cleaner and nylon brush on top of the piston, than we can read the number.

EDIT!! oops, just re-read and notice it was with a boresope. What kind of scope you have? Mine dont take pics.
Another clue i can think of is the head gaskets. If they are a MLs style i wouls be its a big bore. Stockers were a crush type.

I put the green colored picture in paint and traced the indents as best I could, and traced 22095.The std.88 inch piston on my shelf has 22095-99b stamped on the top and looks like your picture.no guarantee, but i tried.

claydbal: No, previous owner is unavailable.

TXCHOP: I forget the brand, I 'stole' it from work, it's used in aviation. Nice and pricey!!

fx98stroker: 22095 is what I was reading as well. I saw the STD on it and stated to think it was 88, just wasn't sure.

1949shoebox: OK, that seems to confirm it.

Thanx to all who responded.
