Torrington INA cam bearings

Hi, when fitting these bearings do the letters and numbers on the bearing point to the crank or the cam. Thanks to anyone who knows the answer.

Towards the cam. When pressed in the case you can read the numbers. Some argue it doesn't matter, other are adamant they are directional. I installed them numbers out and have 10k miles on them.

It really doesnt matter you can install them either way it will not affect the performance of the bearing..

That said I almost always (if I am paying attention) will install the bearing so that I can read the numbers without having to take the bearing out. if possible..
