lifter noise when cold

my 2002 roadking with 40.000 miles on it has new lifters, cam tentioners, oil pump, cam plate, cam bearings, and new stock cams, repair kit #24984-99, after the job was done maybe 1000 miles after the bike got a bad lifter noise, rapped for about one minute or so until bike warmed up, and after a good run and sat for a hour or so it rapped again, but now the bike has about 3000 miles on it and the noise seems to be going away, when i start it cold i only here it very little and only for about 30 seconds, dealer thinks something very small might have been stuck in one of the lifters and it has worked its way out, i have 90 days warranty on the job and it has only been 7 weeks so i have a bit of time yet,i use amsoil 20/50 syn, maybe i should change the oil and filter and hope the noise never comes back, has anyone else had a problem like this? my problem now is that the bike does not make the noise the dealer is not going to change the lifters, is it possible the bad lifter has finally pumped itself up and is not bleeding off anymore?

yes that happens. A small particle can cause problems and then get worked out.
