Speedometer needle problem, 05 flstsci

On a ride out this evening my speedometer started going haywire, the problem only occurs at around 75mph when all of a sudden the needle drops back to zero then bounces around for a split second before returning to normal.
I have owned the bike since new and this is the first time this has happend.
I am interested to know if anyone else has heard of or experienced the this same problem.

Sorry guy's, just realised i have posted on the wrong board!,
