jetting ???

i just put a s&s 510g in my 2003 wideglide i read i may need to jet up
what would be a stock jet ?and where would i need to go?
i'm also running d&d fat cats and a k&n air filter

your stock jets should be 45 slow and 190 main. unless it's a California bike.

most guys here jet too damn rich, I would try just shimming up your needle .025 to .050, adjusting the mixture screw out 2-3 turns from LIGHTLY seated and see how it responds.

if that don't work, try a 46 slow, 190 (stock) main and a 27094-88 (N65C) needle and 2 1/2 turns on out on the mix screw, that should get ya real close, check plugs and head temps and adjust if needed from there.
lotsa info on the net about reading plugs and head temps.

I would recommend going 46 slow, 190 main, N72S needle jet (1990 factory softail needle jet
